GALLERY BAKYOUNG is the cultural support division of Park Young, a book publishing company founded in 1952. The word “Park” in Park Youngsa means “to cultivate talents widely,” and the gallery was opened in 2008 with the intention of supporting the creative work of artists, following the founder's entrepreneurial spirit. Gallery Park Young is currently the first gallery in the Paju Publishing Complex, where more than 400 artists and cultural artists have gathered, and has been running the residency program Studio Park Young, which provides studios for contemporary artists and supports their activities, and is currently continuing to discover and communicate with artists through the Park Young the Shift artist competition, an extension of the support program. GALLERY BAKYOUNG's exhibition planning direction is to pursue convergent exhibitions that can add art to lifestyles such as books, music, furniture, and fashion based on art. It is to continue to develop cultural contents as a complex cultural space with the natural backdrop of Paju.

갤러리박영은 1952년 창업한 도서출판박영사의 문화지원사업부이다. 박영사(博英社)의 ‘박영’은 “넓게 인재를 양성한다”는 뜻으로, 이러한 창업주의 기업 정신을 이어 2008년 미술 작가들의 창작 지원을 도모하기 위한 취지가 바탕이 되어 개관한 갤러리다. 갤러리박영은 현재 400여명이 넘는 미술인과 문화 예술인들이 모일수 있게 한 파주출판단지내 1호 갤러리로 현대미술 작가들에게 스튜디오를 제공하고 활동을 지원하는 레지던스 프로그램 <스튜디오 박영>을 진행해 왔으며 현재는 지원사업의 연장인 <박영더시프트> 작가공모전을 통해 지속적인 작가 발굴과 소통을 이어가고 있다. 갤러리박영이 추구하는 전시기획의 방향성은 미술을 기반으로 한 책, 음악, 가구, 패션 등 라이프스타일에 예술을 더할 수 있는 융복합적 전시를 추구한다. 파주의 자연을 배경으로 한 복합문화공간으로서의 문화컨텐츠 개발을 이어가는 것이다.
