SANMOK&HWI Gallery opened in November 2007 in the new city of Jwadong, Haeundae-gu, Busan, and since its opening, it has been dedicated to the enjoyment of Busan citizens through special exhibitions inviting artists from Busan and around the world.

In 2011~12, we successfully held a touring exhibition at the Kyoto City University of the Arts Museum and the Victoria Memorial Museum in India by inviting prominent artists from Japan, China, Thailand, India, and Busan, and our future tasks are to make art lovers feel the flow of contemporary art and to serve as a bridgehead for promising artists to move forward on the world stage, and to contribute to the activation and internationalization of artists through residency courses in our own space.

In particular, we focus on introducing Busan artists by participating in international-level art fairs in Switzerland, Spain, the United States, Australia, Hong Kong, and Japan to help emerging and mid-career artists advance to the world stage.

산목&휘 갤러리는 부산 해운대구 좌동 신도시에 2007년 11월 개관하였으며 개관 이후 부산과 세계 각국의 작가들을 초청하는 기획전을 통하여 부산시민들의 즐거움이 되도록 정성을 다하여 왔습니다.

2011~12년에는 일본, 중국, 태국, 인도, 부산의 저명한 작가들을 초대하여 교토시립예술대학 미술관, 인도 빅토리아 메모리얼 뮤지엄 순회전시를 성황리에 개최하였으며 앞으로의 과제는 미술애호가들에게 현대미술의 흐름을 느끼게 하고 숨어있는 유망작가들을 세계무대로 나아갈 수 있도록 교두보 역할을 하고자 하며 또한 자체 보유공간의 레지던시 과정을 통하여 작가육성 활성화와 국제화에 이바지하고자 합니다.

특히 신진 및 중진 작가들이 세계무대로 나아갈 수 있도록 스위스, 스페인, 미국, 호주, 홍콩, 일본 등 국제적 수준의 아트페어에 참가하여 부산의 미술작가를 소개하는데 주력하고 있습니다.
